SUMMARY: Join Edward Snowden, Dr. Ron Paul, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Vicente Fox, Congressman Justin Amash, Dr. Deirdre McCloskey, and over 1,600 pro-liberty college students on February 13-15, 2015 for the 8th Annual International Students For Liberty Conference. The conference will be hosted at the recently renovated Marriott Wardman Park, and will feature other notable speakers including television host John Stossel, Congressmen Thomas Massie and Jared Polis, North Korean activist Yeon-Mi Park, President of Americans for Tax Reform Grover Norquist, and Executive Vice President of the Cato Institute David Boaz.
With 34% of young Americans identifying as independent (over triple the rate among Americans over 30), the millennial generation is politically unclaimed. Indeed, according to a 2013 Harvard Institute of Politics poll report, “Millennials have been telling us for some time that they have disapproved of the way Washington has been operating and that the status quo is not acceptable. Both parties and branches of government are ignoring them at their peril.”
Students For Liberty is tapping into the next generation’s growing demand for an alternative approach to politics. Since its founding in 2008, SFL has grown to include 50,000 students, 1,400+ student groups, 600+ student leaders, 50+ conferences for 10,000+ attendees, and 300,000+ resources on every inhabited continent.
There is no better example of how liberty is igniting on a global scale than the International SFL Conference (ISFLC), the premiere event of the year for students dedicated to liberty and advancing freedom on campus. Last year’s event featured over 1,200 attendees from 26 countries and the 8th Annual ISFLC is expected to be bigger and better than ever before.
On February 13-15, 2015, the world’s largest crowd of pro-liberty students will gather at the Marriott Wardman Park Exhibition Hall in Washington D.C. for a weekend to learn from contemporary leaders in liberty, discuss best practices for promoting freedom on campus, and get more involved in the larger movement for liberty.
In addition to main stage speakers, the weekend will feature over 70 breakout sessions on topics such as the militarization of the police, the War on Drugs, free speech, and Bitcoin. The conference will also have an ongoing liberty fair with over 60 sponsor organizations. Registration opens on Friday, February 13 at 2pm EST.
