ANNOUNCEMENTS

Each year, we invite students from all over the globe to learn more about the principles of liberty at the International Students For Liberty Conference. However, as a student, it can be difficult to get to Washington, D.C. for the event. For the first time, this year Students For Liberty will be hosting travel buses across North America for students to get to and from ISFLC for as little as $20 per person!

This July, the SFL family lost one of our most dear members, Andrew Kaluza. Andrew first found SFL in 2009 and immediately took up the mantle of building a community of like-minded individuals in Texas and around the world. Through his overwhelming love, friendship, hard work and dedication, Andrew laid the foundations for Texas to become one of the strongest regions for student activism for liberty in the world.

While Andrew had many passions, his greatest was for his brothers and sisters in the Texas student movement for liberty and fostering connections between them and the larger global liberty community. One of Andrew’s dreams had been to organize a bus of students from Texas to the annual International Students For Liberty Conference so that he could bring as many students with him as possible. In those early days that proved logistically impossible, but due to Andrew’s early work, the Texas movement has grown to a size to accommodate this project. Thus, we are committed to making it a reality in his memory.

We began planning a bus trip to DC from Texas, but initial inquiry showed that there was demand for this type of service all over the country. Due to the success of the Andrew Kaluza Memorial Fund and the hard work of SFLers from all corners of the map, we have decided to expand the project and organize bus trips from 10 cities!

Our locations and prices will be:

  • Austin, Texas- $45
  • Manhattan, Kansas- $36
  • Gainesville, Florida- $25
  • Montgomery, Alabama- $27
  • Nashville, Tennessee- $20
  • Chicago, Illinois- $20
  • Chapel Hill, North Carolina- $20
  • Columbia, South Carolina- $20
  • East Lansing & Ann Arbor, Michigan- $20

These buses will take students to and from the International Students For Liberty Conference. Space is limited so take advantage of this opportunity to attend the ISFLC! Register below to secure your spot!

Note: Buses will only run if the buses are filled. If your bus is canceled, you will be reimbursed. An email will be sent out to you once your bus is 100% confirmed. You will not be reimbursed if you miss the bus or change your mind.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Due to the explosive growth of the International Students For Liberty Conference and the many new programs and features we’re adding this year, we’re happy to announce that for the first time, ISFLC has its own website where you can stay up to date with all of the latest details on the conference!

The ISFLC is the premiere event of the year for students dedicated to liberty and advancing freedom on campus. On February 13-15, 2015, the world’s largest crowd of pro-liberty students will gather at the Marriot Wardman Park Exhibition Hall in Washington D.C. for a weekend to learn from contemporary leaders in liberty, discuss best practices for promoting freedom on campus, and to get more involved in the larger movement for liberty.

The 2015 ISFLC is expected to have over a thousand attendees from over 25 countries on all inhabited continents. Countless student leaders are eagerly anticipating this yearly celebration of freedom, the culmination of their months of hard work organizing on their college campuses to spread the ideas of liberty.

The 8th annual conference will focus on how young people are using a multitude of new, decentralized institutions to change the political tide and the relationship between the state and the individual, such as Twitter, Uber, Airbnb, and Bitcoin. The 2015 ISFLC will showcase how liberty is igniting all over the world and will demonstrate that young people are at the forefront, capitalizing on the transitory period in which we live by blazing trails for freedom that can’t be stopped.

On this website, you can:

This conference is far greater than the sum of its parts and everyone who has ever attended will tell you that the only way you can understand the energy, excitement, and feeling of community created by this event is by experiencing it for yourself. If you want to witness the emergence of a more hopeful, outward-focused, results-driven libertarianism, check out the new website and register for the conference before prices go up.
