The International Students For Liberty Conference (ISFLC16) is almost upon us!

You’ve got just two weeks left to reserve your place at the world’s largest gathering of libertarians. With panels like this one on the future of the liberty movement (graciously sponsored by Reasonmagazine), it’s not something you’ll want to miss. We’re excited to announce a Friday evening panel that will feature not only political commentator George Will, but Reason editors Matt Welch and Nick Gillespie as well.

George_Will.jpgGeorge Will is a political commentator and long-running weekly columnist for the Washington Post. He was honored with a Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1977 and published a number of books, including One Man’s America: The Pleasures and Provocations of Our Singular Nation and Statecraft as Soulcraft. A media heavyweight, Will holds a a Ph.D. in politics from Princeton University and was once called “perhaps the most powerful journalist in America,” by the Wall Street Journal.

Matt_Welch.jpgMatt Welch is a libertarian political pundit and policy researcher who has served as editor-in-chief for Reason magazine since 2008. Notably, he won Best Entertainment Review/Criticism/Column in the 53rd Annual Southern California Journalism Awards for his work, “Bailing Out Big Brother.” These days, he is best known for his 2011 book The Declaration of Independents: How Libertarian Politics Can Fix What’s Wrong with America, co-written with Nick Gillespie.

gillespie_large.jpgNick Gillespie serves as editor of the go-to libertarian outlets Reason.com and Reason.tv. Known for his biting commentary, he led Reason magazine to win a Western Publications Association “Maggie” Award for Best Political Magazine in 2005. Published in outlets from the New York Times to Slate, Salon, and everything in-between, Nick is also a frequent commentator on radio and television networks like NPR, Fox, and CNN. He’s a long-time favorite at SFL conferences, and we’re honored to we welcoming Mr. Gillespie yet again!
